The D&A Check
In publishing parlance, a d&a check is that check that you get when you deliver your manuscript to your publisher and it is accepted. There was some confusion on my end as to whether or not my manuscript had been accepted, and so I hadn't pursued the d&a check.
I asked about it last week, to which my editor said, oops (she used different terminlogy, of course).
So I got my d&a check last Friday, and promptly used it to purchase a digital camera.
